SPECIAL EDITION PRINT
Although John told friends he destroyed his film before entering the nursing home where he would spend the rest of his life, he really hadn't destroyed everything. Three color transparencies were recovered from the trash in John's room following his passing. Since he had held on to those three slides, along with four portraits of his wife, we believe this trio of color photographs had special meaning for him. And we assume they were intended for Sun in the First House, a book of exuberant color abstractions from nature that Brook had long planned but never finished.
The John Brook Archive is making this stunning abstraction available in an unnumbered giclée print, printed 10 x 10 on an 11 x 14 sheet. The price is $100.00.
